"Hello World!"
This is my first blog written in English language. It implies I might have other blogs written in non-English language. Indeed, English is my second language while Mandarin Chinese is my most proficient language that has accompanied me for 32 years.
However, I sometimes feel a sense of lost if the rest of the world cannot understand what I am writing about. Or even worse, my offspring might not understand what I am talking about. Not long ago, I, a Taiwan-ese man, became a daddy of "an American girl". Who knows what will happen in such a multicultural and globalized world? No matter it is within my own family ,or in the global community. One thing could be sure: people will still use English as their first, second, third, or fourth ... Language, at least within my own family for awhile.
"Hello World!" is a sentence widely used in introductory tutorials for teaching computer programming. My first homework in C language(a computer programming) class was to display "Hello World!" in a computer monitor. This is one of those few things I know about computer programming though I earn my life as a marketer of information technology.
For this reason, though I am not quite proficient in English, I might be still able to share my ideas with more people who have similar interests.
